About
The Virginia Association of Surveyors, founded in 1948, is the Commonwealth’s principal professional organization for licensed surveyors. VAS works to advance the professional development and interests of its members, offers continuing education through seminars and schools, and holds an annual general membership meeting and convention.
The association is organized into ten regional chapters covering different parts of the state and is an affiliate of the National Society of Professional Surveyors. It publishes the Old Dominion Surveyor newsletter and engages with Virginia’s licensing board on regulatory matters affecting surveying practice.
