South Carolina Society of Professional Land Surveyors

The South Carolina Society of Professional Land Surveyors is the state’s principal association for licensed land surveyors, organized to advance public welfare alongside the professional, social, and economic interests of surveyors statewide.

SCSPLS operates ten local chapters – Aiken, Coastal, Foothills, Grand Strand, Low Country, Mid-State, Midlands, Pee Dee, Tri-County, and Upper Piedmont – and its Coastal Chapter maintains a separate website and has met continuously since being organized in 1980. The society runs on a July-through-June membership year, holds an annual convention, publishes The Carolina Benchmark, and appoints a delegate to the National Society of Professional Surveyors. Its administrative office is managed from Columbia.
