New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors

Founded in 1963, the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors is the primary professional society for licensed land surveyors across New York State, and by its own account represents roughly three-quarters of the state’s licensed surveyors.

NYSAPLS focuses on setting and maintaining professional standards, representing surveyors in state government affairs, and running public education and continuing education programming, including an annual statewide conference. The association is an affiliate of the National Society of Professional Surveyors and organizes its membership into regional groups and committees across the state. It also maintains a public Find a Surveyor tool for property owners seeking a licensed surveyor.
