National Society of Professional Surveyors

The National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) is the principal national membership body for professional surveyors in the United States, describing its role as the voice of the surveying industry. It traces part of its lineage to the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping, an umbrella federation of surveying and mapping societies that merged into NSPS in 2012.

NSPS is governed by a board of directors and works through a network of state affiliate societies, certification boards, and standing committees. It publishes the member newsletter Surveyor Says!, runs the Trig-Star student outreach program and National Surveyors Week, and holds its business meetings in conjunction with the Geo Week conference. The organization is headquartered in Frederick, Maryland.
