Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico

The Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico, founded in 1938, is a quasi-public nonprofit corporation uniting engineers and land surveyors across Puerto Rico. Known in English as the Puerto Rico College of Engineers and Land Surveyors, it differs from a typical voluntary state association: Puerto Rico law requires practicing engineers and surveyors to hold active membership in CIAPR in order to practice in the territory, giving it a role closer to a combined bar association and professional society.

CIAPR maintains a dedicated surveying institute and a permanent land surveying registry, operates 11 regional chapters across the island, publishes the magazine Dimension, and offers continuing education seminars and member events throughout the year.
