American Association for Geodetic Surveying

The American Association for Geodetic Surveying (AAGS) is a national membership organization for professionals working in geodesy, geodetic surveying, and land information systems. It was historically one of the constituent member societies of the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM); when ACSM merged into the National Society of Professional Surveyors in 2012, AAGS remained an independent national organization.

AAGS collaborates with NSPS on shared initiatives, including a joint scholarship program, and co-publishes the peer-reviewed journal Surveying and Land Information Science (SaLIS). The association holds an annual general membership meeting and maintains affiliations with state-level surveying societies.
