SOPA/PIPA Protest on January 18th, 2012
As many of you may know, we here at SurveyorConnect are totally against the SOPA/PIPA legislation that endangers our Internet freedoms. Many websites across the country, including Reddit, Google, Wikipedia and others, are protesting these bills by staging a total site blackout for most of the day tomorrow. This demonstrates what could happen to these sites if the bill(s) pass.
SurveyorConnect will participate, but only as a partial blackout. More specifically, the Politics/Religion category will be blacked out for all of tomorrow, January 18, 2012. We think it is appropriate, since that is most likely the category that would cause trouble if SOPA/PIPA pass.
