SOPA/PIPA Protest on January 18th, 2012
Quote from Wendell on January 17, 2012, 11:42 pmAs many of you may know, we here at SurveyorConnect are totally against the SOPA/PIPA legislation that endangers our Internet freedoms. Many websites across the country, including Reddit, Google, Wikipedia and others, are protesting these bills by staging a total site blackout for most of the day tomorrow. This demonstrates what could happen to these sites if the bill(s) pass.
SurveyorConnect will participate, but only as a partial blackout. More specifically, the Politics/Religion category will be blacked out for all of tomorrow, January 18, 2012. We think it is appropriate, since that is most likely the category that would cause trouble if SOPA/PIPA pass.
For more information about the blackout, see: http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/technology/2012/01/wikipedia-blackout-sopa-and-pipa-explained/ or search Google for "SOPA/PIPA blackout" (but you better do it today, because you won't be able to do it tomorrow)
Your opposition of SOPA and PIPA are key to stopping these freedom-slapping bills. For more information, please see: http://americancensorship.org

When will we quit letting people who don't even know how to check their email regulate the internet?

Quote from BigE on January 18, 2012, 3:23 amFunnier yet is Wendell didn't use it on a clearly P&R post.
I've been pondering this all day.
I am poking at you Wendell. Don't slap my hand again. As to these 2 bills, the'll probably sand bag it into something else more popular and thus sneak it in - like they always do, or try to.
