Quote from that1surveyor on August 8, 2011, 3:10 amI was wondering what hourly pay is ranging for survey technicians is in your areas? My wages have risen fairly steadily even through the recession but being as I've only been a part of two companies, i have no frame of reference.

The other guy on the crew is naturally paid less than that...$16-$20ish

I talked a guy into moving from Arizona to my area. His base salary was less here, but his cost of living here is about 1/2 of what he was looking at in his old jobs in California and Arizona. He has earned a nice pay raise since then and says he is now "living large". (He's single, so he gets to keep all the money that Uncle Sam does not take.)
