Minnesota State specific

PreviousPage 2 of 4Next

@jitterboogie Ha, I haven't even used the Colorado seal yet, but projects are on the horizon.

Minnesota is strictly a request from the Company. Part of the deal is for me to sign anything I will have to visit and fish. I keep trying for an office up in Ely.

@stlsurveyor

understood.  I've fished around the country, and it's always interesting how catching fish and the culture around it is so very different, and yet still the same.

That being said, good fortune on your testing, I'm s few years behind in the pipeline and will be hitting you and the rest up for advice and guidance when the time is right.

I don't have any more information about the test than when I posted before, but best wishes to you.

@rplumb314 Thank you for the well wishes as well as the other info posted. Chapter 515B - CIC platting is just crazy and the Torrens is really different to me. Thank God the exam is Open Book, I will no doubt have to cross reference every one of those questions.

Well, 1300 miles round trip to St. Paul, criss-crossing Wisconsin, and a stop in Chicago to visit my Brother and the test is in the books.

This could be the 6th license for me but was the 6th State Specific exam I have taken. The Minnesota exam was not easy. However, I can honestly say it was the best surveying exam I have ever had to take. I was asked questions that truly test your boundary law understanding, hypotheticals, and ethical matters that us PLS folks actually deal with on a daily basis. If one was a young surveyor who doesn't get exposed to all facets or spends their day's drafting it would be nearly impossible. Professional experience is highly woven into the test. Now the waiting game begins as I am not even sure I have what it takes to make the cut.

But I did have my first Juicy Lucy, which I will try to recreate today, so all is not lost.

Well got the letter...PASSED. It was a tough exam. As stated above it was the best (most challenging) surveying exam I have ever taken.

Congratulations!

@stlsurveyor

Time to update your tag line here.  You only list MO, AR, KS and KY.

@hblair Thank you.

@holy-cow Yeah I have tried to update it numerous times, but I always get an error?? Oh well.
