Headhunters in OZ

Over on the Linkedin site, there seems to be an overabundance of job opportunity's for surveyors down-under.

Is this true, or are they just blowing smoke?

We have a huge job there, but have found it hard finding anyone that wants to go.

There are a lot of mines in remote areas where crews flown in for X weeks and then out for Y weeks. When last at Coober Pedy I met a US surveyor who married an OZ girl and he was just starting at a mine 800 k from Adelaide. The singles camp is to be at Coober Pedy and they will bus 50 K to work and then 50 k back each day.

Education standards may be different. Will need to get work permit. Not sure if surveyors on list of required workers/professions. Check OZ embassy site and ask Qs
