I do not have any additional information. If you knew Steve and would like to share more about him here, that would be much appreciated.

What I do know about Steve is that he was a dedicated and admired mentor, teacher and participant of the Land Surveying profession. I've read many posts in various venues about him and it's apparent that he will be missed by many.

He does have an account here, which I have set as a memorial.

From the Nevada Association of Land Surveyor's Facebook page:

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the loss of our dear friend, Steve Parrish. Steve passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2023, after battling pancreatic cancer. Steve had a significant impact on the survey community and was a mentor to many.

Steve had a passion for mentoring and supporting the next generation of Surveyors. It was his wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your state association land surveying education foundation or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Steve gave time and resources to anyone who asked. We crossed paths several times, and he contributed to my career every time. His greatest contribution was the marks he left on so many surveyors. I'm certain that extended to every other area of his life..

Peace to all who knew him, Tom
