When I went solo 3 years ago, I sent my first ROS to 7 print shops to see who was the best. One guy was clearly better and visibly blacker and sharper than anyone else, very important for an ROS that gets scanned. He had limited hours and a rhythm to his work that some days had me racing to the courthouse from his shop to record in the last few minutes of the day.

Just got an email that he suddenly passed. Glad I shook his hand last time I saw him. RIP Doug Rudolph, of Raven Copy Center, Kent WA, who grew up in Juneau, Alaska and played drums in a rock & roll band there when he was younger.

@holy-cow Pretty sure he was full Tlingit. The toner on his prints was dark as a raven. Made my ROS look amazing.

If someone had an India ink plotter that would be awesome.
