I lost one of my two sons a week ago today.?ÿ He was fully vaccinated and boosted but contracted COVID about a month ago.?ÿ It seemed like a mild case and he avoided hospitalization.?ÿ But he was diabetic and apparently this condition complicated his recovery.?ÿ He made it to the parking lot at work last Monday.

He was supposed to attend my funeral, not the other way around.?ÿ It seems so wrong.?ÿ I believe I will have a hole in my heart for the rest of my life.

Thanks for listening.?ÿ Give all your children a hug and show them you love them.?ÿ You may not get another chance.

Sympathies, Paden.?ÿ

It's going to hurt, but you're a tough old bird and can handle it.

Typed about three responses,,,,,they all failed to say how tragic this is..

I can't imagine it Paden, you're correct, our children should be attending our funerals.

So sorry to hear this. My condolences.

This makes me think of my son whom is at college currently healthy, yet has with Moderate-To-Severe Asthma.

His college Wanakena Ranger School has less than 60 students. They have a few isolated COVID cases, which are quarantined. The administration has taken away all the student's car keys to keep them on campus until next round of COVID testing.

That's about the safest college experience I can think of. He's in a good place.
