Mark Deal

Joseph Glidden (Jobo)

Bill McComber

Paul Plutae

Larry Phipps

Graham Marion from Australia

Big E---Eric

Jim Sincovec

Richard Schaut

Michael Porter

I'm sure there have been many others but the names don't pop into my memory right now.?ÿ Some of those who have gone silent probably have passed on without our knowledge.?ÿ One fellow I always enjoyed from many years back was named Jim Something from California or Utah and could pack a lot of punch in a minimum number of words. He moved and immediately had to evacuate almost immediately due to a forest fire.?ÿ Seems like there was a younger member (30's) from southern or central California who died in a car wreck.

Ryan Versteeg was a surprise. Much too young.

And I worry about those who I don't see posting anymore even though they may still be alive like Richard Abbott and Derek Graham.

Ryan was quite young and it was very much a shock. He was a student in one of my one-day classes just a few weeks before he passed and that was the first time I had met him in person.

Although I am sure he is still with us, I sure miss Dave Karoly's posts here. He has been silent on the CLSA forum also.

@andy-nold

Found an obituary online that might be our Derek Graham, TNAI, of Elora, Ontario.?ÿ But the obituary makes no mention of his occupation or hobbies.

Have wondered about John Francis from Ohio who was living on a boat, as I recall.?ÿ Jim Petty from Arkansas developed an ailment that took him out of surveying field work.?ÿ Have wondered about him.

- I sure miss Dave Karoly's posts here.

I thought @dave-karoly was one of the best-researched posters on the legal issues.?ÿ I hope he is busy writing a book, although I don't think he ever responded positively to the suggestion.?ÿ He hasn't posted here since last October.

Norm Larson, who designed several 3-D models of theodolites/ other items to be 3-D printed out as very nice models (about 1/8 scale)...?ÿ his surveying items are still available to order from the Shapeways.com website:
