What is your favorite mosquito repellent for outdoor patio?
Thermacell
Martins if you can get them in the area they will do a good job.
Seriously, the red spotted toads and the bats keep our patio free of bugs. The toads live in the patio planters (and use the pool at night) and I'm pretty sure the bats roost in a neighbor's barn.
@bruce-small I don’t have a patio but we do have bats and the kids like watching them dive bombing different insects at night in pasture.
Did you know bats can swim, really fast. I sit on the pool steps at dusk to watch the bats swoop in the get a drink - I can just see the litte ripple. So one evening, swoop, swoop, splash as one misjudged and dunked himself. He smam past me as I scrambled out of the pool, he swam over to the rescue ramp, climbed out, dried off, and off he went.
Unfortunately, I don't have an outdoor patio, but my back porch is screened-in, so I don't use any mosquito repellent, or a bug zapper. In my part of Florida people put bat houses on their properties. I once heard that a bat can consume up to two thousand mosquitos per hour.
There is no such thing as "mosquito repellent", at least none that work here. Best bet is to borrow the kid's flame thrower.
Mosquito Joe comes to my house every 3 weeks and sprays my property. Works great. I have them use their organic versus a chemical concoction.
