We'll be in Scottsdale for a long weekend and are looking for some lesser-known, not so busy desert hiking and stargazing opportunities.

I would head east about a half hour or more to the Superstition Mountains near Apache junction, you could even
search for the Lost Dutchman Mine.... google it !!
