Unc, these are just kids compared to you, you know 25 to 50 years younger than you. (you're welcome, I thought you might like that eye-opener fact) When you were an insane teenager, and since you are a gearhead you had to have thought about mounting a 50cc to 1200cc motorcycle engine "borrowed" from someone to a go kart, shopping cart, or even a creeper. You must have had some sort of ordeal, which you could slip into verbiage for the rest of us, growing up that involved engines, Beer, girls and law enforcement and possibly even Holden! (prior to his "seeing the light"). ?????ÿ

Oh we did our share of "stupid stuff".?ÿ Still have the scars to prove it!
Holden and I were reminiscing the other day about our "pyro" days.?ÿ One particularly stupid stunt we liked was filling up an empty tin pint paint can with strike-anywhere kitchen match heads (with the sticks meticulously removed).?ÿ And trust me, you had to be careful in the process.
Once the can was about 7/8 full the lid was pressed on tight.?ÿ Then some 'brave' soul, usually me because of my age, would throw the can down onto the concrete, lid first.?ÿ The results always varied but never disappointed.
We used a can once that Pops had used to clean paint brushes.?ÿ It had in it some semi-dried paint and possibly even some gasoline residue.....that was our 'finest hour'.
Like I said, "stupid stuff".?ÿ 😉
Whatever became of Don??ÿ He used to be an active participant here but hasn't posted in 3 years.

Stabbing a pocket knife as hard as possible into the side of a full can of an aerosol spray of some sort while holding it in the other hand.?ÿ Learned quickly how far that stuff can shoot and how cold that can will get on a hot Summer day.?ÿ Stupid stuff.?ÿ No phones, No 911.?ÿ Just kids on bicycles a mile from the nearest house.
I don??t know about you but I went home numerous times bleeding like a sieve after a bicycle crash. (never my fault) A splash of micurichrome and a band-aid or 2 and your ready to go again. Today you??d be hauled by helicopter to a trauma center. ?????ÿ

Ain't that the truth.?ÿ Monkey blood is what we called the red stuff from a bottle.
Of course, if it happened today, I'd probably pass out from loss of blood.?ÿ Bleed like a stuck hog from minor things anymore.
