Said everything. The State of IL is closed. I'll be working form home for the foreseeable future while also watching over three kid's daily studies. SWMBO school
is also closed until April - probably to be extended. She will be required to teach online from 8-1:30 everyday -?ÿ so at least the kiddos and I will all get free German classes.?ÿ
So what will you do? We will all be learning German and I plan to catch up on some reading while figuring out how to work, teach, entertain and not go crazy for the next few weeks.
Ryan,
Now would be a good time to catch up reading your collection of the DDSM Workbooks.
😉

I work by myself most of the time from a home office and send out digital files to Title companies and if they want hard copies they can come to my front porch and leave money under a brick on the table and pick up hard copies.

Working form home is really no issue at all for me. It's the three little ones running around - always hungry and bored. Our neighborhood if full of about 75 kids chomping at the bit...It's gonna be a long few weeks. Plus, it is foretasted to be about 35 and rain the whole week.
I really feel for those of you with youngsters to deal with.?ÿ That will be a struggle.
I will be spending a portion of this week trying to convince my 81 year old Mother that she really should cancel her trip to New Orleans this weekend. She is already upset that her Square Dance was cancelled last Saturday night. I haven't heard the status of Friday bowling or the Monday morning 42 games.

I took time to restock my little free library with a fresh assortment. They are dissapearing which is a good thing.?ÿ I also put puzzles and other toys I have sitting around collecting dust.?ÿ?ÿ
For those with kids at home now is a good time to teach them to iron shirts, master tie tying, write in a journal, bake bread and keyboard. All life skills that they will thank you for someday.?ÿ It would be a great time to teach someone to drive, the roads around here are like 1979.?ÿ
@daniel-ralph A drive is a very good point. Second to a good hike is a good drive rolling through the country with the windows down. Kids like that too.
I tele-commute now so working from home isn??t an issue for me. ?ÿOur nine year old is home with us, but it??s no big deal really- we homeschooled our 3 bio kids and know the drill. The school is supposed to have a packet ready for tomorrow- but there is always things to teach that aren??t ??school? subjects. Plus music to practice- art and science projects plus a lot of reading and the great out doors- yesterday I heard him yelling- Dad!! mom!!! ?ÿ- SWMBO opened up the window - 3rd floor - to look straight out at him in one of the fir trees- ??Cool!!! Great job climbing!!!- now please get down, change out of your good coat into your play coat and get back up there...??ÿ
Now that a few days have passed - has anything changed now? Our office is about down to 50% working from home, field staff operation as normal.
Our office is about 50% from home also. ?ÿSurvey crew more or less normal. ?ÿI??m from Illinois also. ?ÿWe have a sign on the front door that says nicely go away and call us. ?ÿ
$500 worth of PlayStation games, 6 boxes of Snickers, and a palate of Skittles should keep kid??s occupied for an hour or so.....
@flga yup. I am growing to hate the xBox more and more everyday. Then I have thought that I need to order another one just to curb the fighting.

traffic is very light. My 5:30am drive has more traffic than my 4pm drive. I don't ever recall see Watt Avenue at Fair Oaks Blvd not backed up after 4pm.
