Send up another one to pull him out of the mud hole.
☺
The article I read on this couldn't believe they kept going...but on a trail like that, once you start, there is no where to turn around. The only way to go on that trail is up until and if you find a flat spot.
An easy out with that one. All that needs to be done is give the driver some shovels, have him start digging and building a road under and behind the truck until he can move it in reverse and back out. No one should necessarily help him, with the exception of standing over him and giving directions. Heck, I've been in worse and had to get myself out. Teaches valuable lessons.
I understand the driver paid $3500 for rescue and fines are pending from the USFS.

"How?"
"Could be snowing"

I am a bit less optimistic about making that turn around...
But, I would like to see a video of the recovery.
Tracked vehicle to the rescue.
Multiple commenters indicated the truck had an Arkansas license plate, suggesting the driver may be unfamiliar with mountain terrain.<div>
