I saw John Wick, Chapter IV yesterday. I hadn't been to a movie since a year before Covid. Drink and popcorn for my son and bottle of water for me was 21 bucks.
I think this was the best of the franchise, beating out Chapter 1 by a hair.
But the previews; geeez. What a bunch of garbage.?ÿ
I know I'm old and getting older, but I didn't realize I was that far gone.
The big question for a John Wick movie?
How many dead guys?
Hundreds. I think that there may be stunt men who have the number of times they were killed in John Wick movies on their resumes.
I was excited to see Donnie Yen was involved. He was good again. Very sad about Lance Riddick, one of my favorite actors, he was always good in everything I ever saw him in.
But the previews; geeez. What a bunch of garbage.
More specific information, please?
I don't remember them all, Bill. Most of them, though, were horror movies seemingly of grade B ilk. All of the previews except one were loaded up with special effects, to the point of ridiculousness. The sole exception was a movie about some old women doing something.
The old women one was the only one that I would consider seeing. Now, I'm not against special effects, violence and bad language, but there has to be some substance to the movie.
The actors in John Wick are all talented, suited for their roles, and deliver substantive lines beautifully.
Was the one with the old women called something like Eighty for Brady? Talk about science fiction! One of them is a lesbian, for pity's sake!
Could be, in fact I think it was. So you're saying that it's a horror movie, too.
Anything with Henry Fonda's daughter in it is horrible. I feel so sorry for Tom Brady and I don't even like him.
He's outstanding in this one. Heck, they all are. The Marquis (Bill Skarsgard) is as despicable as they come, but his reasoning is memorable.
And Clancy Brown, he's always good. I didn't realize is was him at first, his voice gave it away, then I said to SWMBO, "That's Clancy Brown". She said; "Who's Clancy Brown?"
