2 years ago, I saw the Yankee reinactors demonstration at Harper's Ferry. The soldiers were eating Peanuts just like real. I explained to them that the rebels called them "goober peas" and they said they appreciated the history tip

Maaaannnn!  Hated JCS.  Best friend growing up - his brother a 'nam vet - had THE level coolest stereo system with reel to reel turntable and every gadget in the world. We were only allowed to play the turntable, and his JCS album was everything to the cute girls in our class, so we got stuck listening to that over and over .. hate it.

He did have 'Schools Out for Summer' and 'Horse with No Name'. We rocked to that, and a few others I can't recall.

It turns out that is from King Herod's Song portion of Jesus Christ Superstar.  That youtube clip is a bit over three minutes.  I will not provide a link here.

@loyal I went to Glassboro State College what's his guitarist. I hung out with him a few times while in school. 1 time and all nighter. He's very talented. I was living in New Orleans that night when the plane crashed.  I got a lot of calls from his friend in South Jersey the next day wanted to get information

Somewhere there is a picture of my little sister and I sitting at my Grandmother's kitchen table wearing our coonskin caps (circa 1955).

Another classic I remember attempting to sing.?ÿ I assume I got some strange looks as I sang about murder and hanging, but I really don't remember.?ÿ I was only five when this one was at the top of the charts.

One of these two might have been someone's favorite way back when.

I was looking at Billboard's Top Ten past hits that were listed by year.?ÿ 1959 saw one in particular that was titled "The Happy Organ"...(Cue Bevis. Heh-he, he said organ!).?ÿ I couldn't believe I didn't remember something with a name like that.

Then I listened to it.?ÿ I not only remember it, but we had a local daytime TV show that used it for their lead-in music.?ÿ I guess I just never knew its name.

?ÿ

Far out man. I can dig it.

Actually when I saw your post I immediately thought of this song when I saw "happy". I've always enjoyed piano, especially in rock bands. ie: Free Bird, November Rain etc....

?ÿ

Like, take care dude. ?????ÿ

When I listened to your link just know I was reminded of another pie-annie tune "Music Box Dancer".  When I looked it up on YouTube I was surprised to see it was the same composer/ artist.  Small world indeed. 😉

That was his big hit in the late '70's. I was working in South Fl and had to go to a business dinner at the Flagler museum in Palm Beach. It was a black tie deal and the pianist (some dudette thumpin' on a pee-aner) played the song below. She didn't have orchestral accompaniment but it was really nice without. Another Frank Mills song some people won't enjoy.

@alan-roberts

famous musicians and aircraft seem to be a bad mixture.
