Ya ever do something so bone headed you have to look around and make sure nobody was watching you and observed it?
I was deburring some of my rebar and putting a little bevel on it so my metal caps would slide on better and I thought I oughta sharpen my mower blade since I have the grinder going besides it won't take long.
I've done it dozens of times, grind out all the gouges and nicks and put an edge on it and then place it on the balance cone. Observe which side is low, measure it and start taking down some of the stock on the low side (heavy side) to make it equally balanced.
But noooooo????..in an incredible feat of mental acuity I did the exact opposite again and again and again. I kept taking down the light side and was cussing and fussing wondering what is going on.
1 1/2 hours later soaked in sweat I am done and I have to get a new wheel for my grinder.
Glad I'm not the only one...
stuff like that happens more and more lately

You know, surveyors are humans too.
I think!
SWMBO won't let me have neat stuff like that. She's tired of hauling me to the "jiffy medical clinic".?ÿ ??ÿ

You don't need that kind of negativity in your life and I would trade her in for a less difficult model. I might recommend a small Japanese or Filipino model as they are very good and don't complain a lot. American models are well known for their difficulty.
As for the "jiffy medical clinic" is concerned, That sounds like a animal doctor & I have found a couple of wraps of electrical tape will close most wounds and good bourbon eases the pain.?ÿ

Nope, in June 2019 we will have been married 50 years. We were both 18 when we got hitched. Would you trade in a Rolls Royce for a Yugo??ÿ ??ÿ

1. When grinder wheels are developing gouges or wearing out too quickly you are applying too much pressure.
2. Survey flagging has long been the choice material for field crew medical bandages.
3. After the box is opened, tell you wife you gotta keep and use your new gizmo to keep up with the competition.

With regards to number 2. This can be a lifesaver as well.
