@gary_g?ÿ
According to that, if I want to come out in Beijing, China, I need to start from a remote location in Argentina.
I got about up to my armpit and quit?ÿ
I got about knee deep and hit water. ?????ÿ
@flga-2-2?ÿ
Did Fred help you out?

Did Fred help you out?
Cripes Cow, you 'ol boob, thats Barney! ?????ÿ
Latest news says there is a NOTAM declaring a region off the coast near the balloon to be a temporary Air Defense Zone and military aircraft in the air.
@flga-2-2?ÿ
I thought your name was Barney and I was asking if Fred came over to help you out.?ÿ Someone told me you fellows all attended Bedrock High at the same time.
I just read that the military shot it down over the Atlantic.
I thought I read something a few days ago stating that the military had somehow disabled its ability to transmit any information, but I don't know how they'd go about that.
I wonder if they were able to retrieve the on-board tech.
Japan used similar system to try and start forest fires.?ÿ Could this thing have spread something across the country?
I wonder if they were able to retrieve the on-board tech.
A retired general on one news program was saying it might be very difficult to do.?ÿ Not sure if he knew this or was just saying it so people wouldn't wonder if anything was retrieved.
I would have figured the balloon might slow how quickly it sank and a team would be ready to swoop in as soon as it hit water.?ÿ But I know nothing about weather balloons and how they react with water.
I would hope they had a signal intelligence plane following the ballone to see what kind of signals it was sending, and if so they probably had the ability to jam it.
This picture just came in from the balloon when it was over Missouri.
It flew directly over our homestead. We watched it for about 20 minutes until it was out of sight.?ÿ About 2 or 3 hours later we heard the boom. Pulled it up and found out they had taken it out. I'm between Charlotte and Asheville and could hear it clear as a bell.?ÿ?ÿ
In the working world, such activities are known as putting up a trial balloon.
Saw this message and had to share.?ÿ Those of us in rural America have had numerous visits over the years from pilots who have taken pictures of the homestead/farmstead and are offering to sell us a framed photo for some silly number of dollars.?ÿ I have one of those hanging on my wall next to my desk.

"So I suppose the Chinese are now going to go door to door selling aerial farm photos."
They're also watching the obituaries; and stopping by to collect on the bible they ordered!
