I made the drive up I-25 from Pueblo to DIA last year. It was a middle
of the week excursion to pick up SWMBO at DIA. I didn’t think I’d ever
get to 470, lots of 20mph, lots of stopped traffic. Finally I got to
470, it was a huge stress relief. I didn’t care what the toll was it was
worth every penny.
I lived there for 6 years and never took the toll part of 470 but I think it was something crazy like 8 bucks at the time. I never saw cars on it and and I never understood why anyone would pay to drive on it especially when you could go a little ways up the interstate to 225 and go basically the same way for free.
Finally took possession of the Wrangler. I figured I may have made a mistake, new Auto transmissions aren't like the older ones, and shifting constantly might be a pain.
I'm not ever going back to an auto. If I have to keep this thing tell I die I'll keep getting it fixed and updated. I forgot how enjoyable it is to DRIVE a vehicle.
The low gearing makes it even better.
I put it into 4 low 1st gear and it redlines about 4mph. The thing is awesome.
I was chatting with another manual owner and said how the manual will keep it from getting stolen. He said to make it even less likely when you're parked slip the transfer case into neutral, that will really make them confused, they'll never figure it out. Of course, that's not a bad idea with an auto.
