65 tomorrow for me.
If I could, I would hang up my shingle and stick to local lot or boundary surveys.?ÿ I love that stuff.?ÿ My only issue is that I'm concerned I'm a poor businessman.?ÿ I might be willing to work for someone else, too, but I have worked enough at the government job I'm at now to get my maximum pension, so it's not worth it for me to stay here now that I get Medicare.
Hey, guys, can anyone tell me how to change my avatar, or where to go for help?
Repeating: On my profile page under Account I see three options for Avatar. Default supplied by the site, URL which means the picture has to exist somewhere on the web, and Upload, which opens a file browse window on my hard disk to find a picture file.
Thank you Mr. Harris.?ÿ I tried that but must have made a mistake.?ÿ I uploaded a picture, but it also wanted me to fill in a URL????ÿ I'll try again.
I selected a file from my computer (choose file and navigated to picture), clicked on 'save changes' (or whatever that save thing was, and it said to specify a URL.

If you can hold off on collecting SS until you are 70! Check out the difference in collection age amounts on the SS site. ?????ÿ

Ask one of your kids, grandkids, great grandkids or hell, any kid for that matter between 4 and 10 will be able to show you.?ÿ ?????ÿ

Not worth it to hold off until I'm 70.?ÿ It would take 15 years to get the equivalent of how much less I'm getting now in monthly payments.?ÿ But my Pension is what I'm really looking at, and that's maxed out.
You enjoy your second life Tom.?ÿ I'll always remember that trip to Colorado where we all met.?ÿ Remember the stones in front of the Outback.?ÿ Man, that was a long time ago.?ÿ Most of that group doesn't post that much anymore.?ÿ Guess we are getting older.?ÿ This forum is a lot tamer than the wild west days!
Ridge Line
I did it a while back.?ÿ Seems like it took a few days to take effect???
Tom, seriously consider buying a "Sunny Rowing Machine", $80 @ Amazon. It's a low impact isometric thingy that will really stretch and tone the old muscles everywhere in your body. I use it about 15 minutes a day since I bought it in January. It's simple to use and will eliminate or reduce a beer gut. Went from 188 to 164 in 7 months no diet. Also it will slowly decrease your blood pressure. ?????ÿ
Ignore that URL part
Wendell has written a Code to Abide Within for the site and Angel gets her whip out on a regular basis to keep us in line.
????
Happy Birthday Tom!?ÿ You are now officially an old geezer.?ÿ

From a fellow old geezer and retired Eastern European Taxi Driver!?ÿ
Good luck.
in State service we call it working for free, when pension take home equals paycheck take home. I'm not there yet. California has a lady in her 90s who has been working since the 1940s, she is working for less than free because she has no cap. My cap is 80% but I didn't start early enough to get that. Cops and Fire Fighters max at 90% which they can attain by 50 in most cases. When we watched Emergency the Battalion Chief was usually a grizzled white haired old FF but most of the ones I encounter now look like kids, mid 30s.
