I have been reading a lot here about the Javad-LS.?ÿ
I guess most users run it in a base-rover modus, does all the inner checks and other good things I heard about also apply to a configuration where the Javad works in a VRS-system.?ÿ
Our Flemish VRS system works with GPS+Glonass but an update is in the make for other constellations as well.
Any JAVAD users in Europe?
thanks for the insight,
Christof.
Hi Christof,
The LS comes standard with the ability to work with an RTN. We have users who work with it in VRS and Smart Net. The receiver has WiFi standard, so many users will use a cellular hotspot to get corrections, you can also activate the GSM modem and use a SIM card.
The same verification process is used in the RTN as well as with conventional base/rover. Also, Javad's proprietary UpSampling allows the rover to use 1Hz corrections as if they were 5Hz. This makes a substantial improvement in time to fix (TTF).?ÿ
I have had several conversations by email with Allsat in Hanover Germany. They've done quite a bit of testing with the LS there.?ÿ

Thanks Shawn,
I have been browsing the Users Guide and here are some more questions ...
- the software supports working with dxf or dwg or dgn files as a background map?
- support for staking lines/arcs from the dxf/dwg
- is there a list with supported co??rdinate systems. Looking for Belgium Lambert72(2005) with shift grid & geo??de hbg03.
- support for collecting paralell lines (prefab curb & gutters) by defining H&V offsetpapier through measured points?
- I need to read some more on Cogo but extending/trimming of a measured line at a given/taped distance is possible?
thanks,
christof
Here are some screen captures of the currently available coordinate systems for Belgium. If you don't see what you are looking for, please share a link. The developer responsible for coordinate systems is extremely responsive. The Geoid screen shows that we support BG03.
The dwg/dxf is not just a background map, but can be staked to and selected in calculations.
We don't support collecting parallel lines, that I am aware, but you can create a custom Feature code with attributes that could contain the information.
We do have extend, but not trimming currently. We can create a point at a line intersection and at the intersection of a circle and a line (useful for graphically determining some distance down a line).
