That can be fixed! Either by Topcon to make it pretty, or by yourself to varying degrees of niceness. If the wire is still intact, you can make a sleeve for it from shrink wrap and silicone to seal (happened to me..). I actually preferred it then because it was flexible instead of rigid.
But for sure Topcon (or Sokkia, because that's where it came from originally) could fix it.
