This is a RTK GPS?ÿonly capable base and rover pair. There is a radio (I forgot to take a picture of it) that is a PacCrest PDL model 4535. The entire setup is +/- 15 years old. It was purchased used in 2011 from Selby's of Billings, MT and has been used continuously by a PLS (now retired) until early this summer. Everything works. The retired PLS is the gentleman who set the price, I am just playing the middle man for him.

Yes, that is where this performs the best. We are located in western Montana, where terrain and timber are not always favorable for GPS (or even GNSS) coverage. As with any other GPS, good field practices (tie/dump/tie) can successfully be used in less than favorable conditions, even if it's just to set control and traverse in/side shoot needed points. This unit will never hold a candle to the latest greatest GNSS units, but then again it's 1/10th the cost.
