NCEES recently released access to the 2022 PAKS (Professional Activities and Knowledge Study) questionnaire for the national PS exam https://ncees.org/news/ and it is very important to surveyors across the entire nation to respond to this study.?ÿ The results of this dictate the format of the national PS exam and what content is included (read as: necessary for a surveyor to become licensed) in the near future on the PS exam.
NCEES, and the licensed surveyors assisting NCEES, worked very hard to design the study so that they entire questionnaire would take no more than 30-45 minutes to complete.?ÿ This is an important distinction from past studies where it took more valuable time out of the surveyor's day to complete.
It is equally important for the results to clearly represent the surveying practice from all over the nation, not just 1-2 regions.?ÿ The study has been out for 4 weeks now and NCEES still has not received a sufficient number of responses to support the importance/frequency of the content regardless of where surveying is practiced or how the practice is defined in the various licensing jurisdictions around the nation.?ÿ It is recognized that many of you are very busy in your daily lives and appreciate if you could set aside a few minutes of your time to respond to this study.?ÿ All those who you mentor and who are committed to becoming licensed in the near future will benefit from this effort.
