So because I have certain skills that SWMBOAWD does not ever want to expand upon herself, and I also enjoy doing certain things for her(HC get thine mind out of the gutter)
I decided to prep the old stubs for new 1/4turn(marketing mumbojumbo for ball valve) valves to replace the old crappy gate type corroded junk that the contractor built from the 1990s left overs In their construction supply trailer. Besides the drywall nails(house was built in 2009, nails have been out of okay for at least a decade prior so it gets one thinking....) The unsupported copper stubs were moving a bit too much for my tastes, and because the inspection camera was obfuscated in the wall by other junk, I went in like a General Surgeon looking to figure out really WTF was I dealing with.
Thankfully, I have the tools and the previous experience from other crappy builders to be able to sit back and assess and get the project back on the rails and ready for a new set of stubs, and a drywall patch to match that will all be under the new cabinets for the bigger win just down the road.
Second half was interesting, although I only watch it for the commercials anyway as I could care less who actually is the winner. I appreciate the efforts, realize that there are always more important things to be engaged with, and enjoyed just hanging out eating grilled chicken and zucchini fries with a beer on a Sunday evening post plumbing endeavor.
