Female reporter asks Joe how it is going out there as he leaves the field after the first half.
His reply and I quote, "We're getting our asses kicked."
I am sure that is what I heard though my mind might have been mulled by the rum laced cider.

He might as well tape that and play it over and over with Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State still on their schedule. And I think Indiana will also beat them this year.
I really like Joe Pa. One of the classiest men in the sport but I just think he is not adapting well to the new offenses. No longer can you just dominate on the ground and pound it out. The other teams are not playing that game any longer. He is still playing the trench wars when the other teams have all gone to the 'shock and awe' of the aerial bombardment.
I hope he bows out with dignity before he winds up like another class coach Tom Landry.
Might As Well Throw in Northwestern and Illinois, Deral
6-6 could be a stretch, but this freshman QB should be around 3 more years.

Deral, Paterno's Final Record?
It was at the Big Ten Warmup press conference when some asked about 400 wins, Joe said and this is an approximate quote "When I am on the other side of the grass looking up it will make no difference if my headstone says 399 or 401 wins." Not even sure Jw wants that on his headstone, the total number of degrees would be more to his liking.
He pretty well nailed it, Joe currently is 397-131-3. Whether he wins 5, 6 or 7 this year, it will be his last year with maybe a bowl. At 5-7 Penn State might get the Bobby Bowden Bowl. The final tally will be 399, 400, 401 and possibly 402 if 7-5 plus a bowl win.
Joe knew where he and his team were headed this year, and when you bite of a big wad you chew it or choke, but cannot spit it out.

Total number of degrees might have to be written in scientific notation to fit on his marker.
I figure when he passes that they will just bronze him and stand him up in some courtyard on campus. I think he would prefer to be in front of one of the libraries that he funded instead of in front of the football stadium.
