I staked a grid with pin flags for our local band boosters for that very thing, worked well except the cows wanted to eat the flagging.

You may have noticed that many things done in Oklahoma are related to cows in some fashion or another. Cow tipping is a favorite on a slow saturday night as well as cow grilling on a Sunday afternoon.
I have actually had the pleasure of living in Enid, Ok for a number of years and it's a fine community with good folks. I think you would enjoy it.
I would bet my friend at Porterfield's Land Surveying will be providing the grid and the final spot locations for the playing field.
