It defrosted (sorta) on the way down to Georgia. I tried to place the pie in the microwave to finish defrosting so I could spoon the mess back into place. Well, it didn't work. I pulled it out of the microwave after I saw the thing turning into a bigger mess. I had a bag of marshmello's around and made the best of it for the enjoyment of the grandkids. Being creative.....sorta....I called it "Piranha Pumpkin Pie"
So,....is there anyone else out there that prepared something for thanksgiving and...well....it just didn't turn out as planned?
That is a very odd disaster. I've never seen a frozen pie crust shatter like that upon thawing.
I did not help in any way with the preparation of any food consumed over the Thanksgiving holiday. My job was to eat it. That was easy to do as I am a commonsewer of holiday food.
why exactly was the pie frozen..:-| ?
Frozen is problem number one of that story.
It wasn't home made...bought from Piggly Wiggly. PLaced in trunk for the 8 hour trip and then discovered to be thawed out.....what a mess.
