I wonder how many millions of dollars in cash, jewelry, precious metals, collectible art, etc. got obliterated in the demolition of that building.?ÿ The loss of items with sentimental value is also huge, but you can't really put a market value on that, and people can recover from that sort of loss anyway.?ÿ But I wonder how many of those condo owners have been ruined financially by the intentional demolition of the building.

I think it was the right decision, but I can't imagine the number of lawsuits that are going to result from it.

Suspect they will rely upon the Force Majeure indemnification for a bit, until they can prove or discover interesting intentional neglect or delays in repair etc.

People should never have to worry about going to sleep because of the results were witnessing with this tragedy.

I was wondering the same thing. What happens when a searcher finds a $90K Rolex, cash, and 5 or 6 diamond rings scattered about? Is it all collectively combined? Who figures out what to do with the millions of dollars of items found. Unfortunately I would bet around 50% of the found items will not be ƒ??turned inƒ?.?ÿ

Maurice Greenberg sued, unsuccessfully I think, for the illegal confiscation of his company (aig)

Not exactly the same thing.

If I owned clear title fee condominium to a property there, I could hold out for awhile with no association fees, and a reasessed tax bill.?ÿ?ÿ yes ?

@flga-2-2?ÿ

The recovery people are less than likely going to take anything as it's a potential crime scene.

And the people usually involved with the operation are of a higher moral fiber I would like to believe.

And I'm an iowan cynic for the record.... ???? ???? ?????ÿ

@jitterboogie?ÿ

You ever been to Miami? I hope you are right. Somewhere on this site there is a post about Surveyors at a conference in Miami that weƒ??re ƒ??hijackedƒ? by two hookers that jumped into their car and wouldnƒ??t get out unless compensated. ?????ÿ

For those of us living in common single family houses, recovery of many items might be possible.?ÿ Or the demolition could be guided by the owner in an attempt to rescue certain items.?ÿ That would not be feasible for a multi-story, structure such as involved in this case.

@flga-2-2?ÿ

Did you finally end up paying them? ???? ???? ?????ÿ

I had a similar incident in Aurora Co east Colfax, except I ran the red light when the lady of the night threatened to kill me as I back talked her.

Most of the first responders are first line and the others are specific to the recovery process.

I'll bet Team Rubicon in is on site big time.

Most hookers can't cut that mustard. ???? ?????ÿ
