Several have noted various methods of spell checking below. Another (which I admit to not using sometimes) can be found in the GOOGLE TOOLBAR. You can install this in your browser and one of the features is a SPELL CHECKER. A single mouse click will spell check whatever window your cursor is in.

Firefox spell checks too. type a misspelled word and it will underline it in red. right-click on the word and it gives a list similar to MS Word.

I use Google chrome browser which runs spell check in the background any time that you are typing on a web page.
