E mail from sister, she sent it to a bunch of people. Some might like the art.
Sam Nichols, a long-time friend of my dad's, is an artist who paints and sculpts. He's an 87 - 88 year old feisty veteran whose work is on display at a Tennessee gallery this month. He lived in Lonerock for 10 years and loved his time there so much that he created a lot of artwork over the last year dedicated to that area. The showing is called "An Ode to Lonerock". Thought you might be interested. He's pretty talented, so enjoy!

The painting titled Going Home looks Like Dad and Billy, stepmother acquired when 31'. Sam took lots of photographs made slides and projected them on a screen as a reference for his paintings. The riders in this one show the posture of Dad and Billy and the way the head is held is the way Dad holds his, riding or not. The road and area looks like a spot about a quarter of a mile below the main gate which is 3 miles North of Lonerock and a mile and a half from the house, barn and corrals, so the going home fits.
