we saw it at the opening of the Crocker downtown yesterday.

Frankly I didn't pay too much attention to it.

There's a similar rig built by a guy in my town:

Not very practical, but cute.

That could be what I saw yesterday.

I didn't look that closely at it.

What is a Crocker?

I know I shouldn't have asked because some silly answer will be provided. I do like silly answers, though. After that, please explain a Crocker. Is it a nickname for a regular on Beer Leg who is totally full of it? Do they sell crappy Dockers? Is Joe one of the founders? Is it where you buy cheese in a really big jar? Is it a home for Crackers who are full of it?

What is a Crocker?

The Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento was donated to the city and the museum association in 1885 by Margaret E. Crocker, widow of State Supreme Court Justice Edwin B. Crocker. Edwin was the brother of Charles Crocker, one of the "Big Four" behind the Central Pacific Railroad.

Thank you, Jim

"we saw it at the opening of the Crocker downtown yesterday."

It was all in the way Dave said it. It read like the opening of some chain store or restaurant. Perhaps a local name for a gas station.
