You people have done it tough, with earthquakes in recent years.
They are such powerfully devastating events.
It spares nothing.
I found this fascinating and apparently with a happier ending.

What sort of monitoring do you do?
Check for subsidence? Curious where you establish a datum?
I gather the Christchurch quakes caused cadastral shifts and had to be dealt with accordingly.
