I feel a lot better about our chances this season after watching that game. The offense is very potent and will put up a lot of points this year and the D is still improving. The had several blown coverages in the secondary but that was because of the young players. They will watch the films this week and learn to stay put on their assignments.

The most impressive part of the game was our team speed this year. Much faster overall than I've ever seen it. I am not concerned about OU and Texas now. They will be tough games but we should be able to play with anyone this year and be competitive.

I just hope Kendell Hunter stays healthy. He is back to his two years ago form and healthy. He would have had over 300 yards if they had let him play in the second half.

Texas and OU both struggled and at this point there is a lot of parity in the Big 12 based on this weekend. TT looked terrible yesterday, IMHO, and I'm sure a lot of people were missing Leach after that game. There defense is better than it's been before so maybe that will give the offense time to adapt to the new system.

And Nebraska showed up with an offense and Kansas showed up without one. Just wacky stuff on this first weekend.

OU has FSU next weekend and FSU looked pretty good on Saturday. They need some serious improvement this week if they expect to beat FSU.

Kendall Hunter had a nice game...

against a team that won't win a single game in the PAC10 this year, probably already scored their only touchdowns of the year, and would probably finish last even in the Big Sky Conference. Not taking anything away from your 'Pokes Deral, but don't get too over-amped just yet.
