So it looks like there will be a Big 12 Title game after all.
OSU 10-0 has Iowa State and Oklahoma to go,
Oklahoma has Baylor, Iowa State and OSU to go.
That head to head will be the defacto title game. A 12-0 OSU means no doubt about it, but an 11-1 OU and an 11-1 OSU might mean OK is the Big 12/10 champion based on head to head, but OSU could have a higher BCS ranking.
There are 10 BCS slots, which we can narrow down quickly.
Big East, Cincinnati currently with 2 losses, and most likely the Champion will have 3 losses. Another wasted slot.
ACC champion with 1 loss, a 2 loss team would be out for a second pick.
The best the Big 10/12 can do is a 2 loss champion. One in and done.
PAC 12 has two 9-1 teams, Oregon plays for the championship, can USC play for the PAC Championship or will it be a meaningless game? How much love does 9-1 Stanford get.
Big 12/10 will have two one loss teams, plenty of love for both.
SEC, LSU and Alabama should be in, Arkansas ends the year at LSU and would be the best 2 loss team.
Others, Houston 10-0 still has SMU, Tulsa and 9-1 Southern Miss.
It ain't over till it is over.

My 'Eers beat Cincy yesterday. Cincy still has Rutgers in NJ, Syracuse in NY and UConn at home. WVU has Pitt at home and South FL in Tampa. Cincinnati's loss yesterday means the Big East is still anybody's.
My 'Eers are young and you never know which team is gonna show up. When they show up they could beat about anyone. Look out next year Big 12.
Oregon Wants A Rematch With LSU ?
LSU beat Oregon 40-27 which sounds convincing to me.
On the other hand, LSU beat Alabam 9-6, who deserves a rematch more?
Given that rematch, then Arkansas should have a BCS slot. After all, what is two losses when they are against #1 and #2 or 3?
Anyway it is up to OSU to see that it does npt happen.

The PAC 12 considers the championship game "post season play" and therefore USC cannot participate.
I hope that LSU and Okie State win out and play for the championship, in which case I hope that Okie State whips their ass.
But who knows what will happen between now and then.
Anything is possible.
OSU has all the guns and a much better defense than they are given credit for and this was easily seen after our shut out of Texas Tech and our game keeping the heisman hopeful (then but not now) RG,Baylor out of the end zone. OU has lost their go to guy for third downs and will struggle against our D. I've had my hopes dashed before but I am confident this year. We are just that good.
Oklahoma State - # 1
Okie state shoul;d be #1 since Bama-LSU was a tie after regulatioon and Bma handed LSU thegame.
Both are very good teams. Okie State is the true unbeaten from a conference if that is the criteria fo being No. 1.
Thus is the time of the year when things go wild in Nov SEC nights.
I am not a betting man but if I was, I wouldn't bet that Bama or LSU will win out..
LSU has Ole Miis on the road on a Friday night and end the with the #6 Hogs at home. Bama has to play Auburn abd a very strong little school.
Then it appears that they would have to face a revived Georgia team for the SEC championship in Atlanta which would basically be a home game for GA.
Deral, I wish your team well and I hope to see you down here for the big BCS game.
But I wouldn't bring that "Bring on Les Miles" baggage stuff down here. No one is interested in it except maybe some folks in your little circle of life. It means nothing here and time has passed and Les Miles is now a different guy after living in Louisiana these past years. 🙂 He is not the guy you knew. Maybe people in OK don't change but here they do.
LSU has 2 QBS here whose age nearly adds up to your QBs age, Slow learners in OK?
