Local paper had a couple pictures of a couple I know that were taken 60 years apart.?ÿ There was the wedding photo of the couple and a current photo announcing a planned celebration for their 60th anniversary.?ÿ Positioned directly below the photos and announcement was an essay written by a local writer that focuses on local history or his experiences from over 80 years of living.?ÿ The heading, in large letters of course, read; "THAT WAS A FOOLISH THING TO DO."

I may need to show up at their celebration just to see if their daughter shows up.?ÿ The announcement mentioned the couple had a son, Steve, and his wife Jane, of hometown and a son, Mark, of hometown, and a daughter, of hometown.?ÿ No name given,?ÿ Maybe they couldn't remember it after all these years.

This same newspaper has a brief listing on the front page of the names that appear later in the "Obituaries" section.?ÿ I always check this front page listing to make sure I'm not among those listed.?ÿ A few years back the front page listing included Buford Hazen.?ÿ However, it was correctly included in the "Obituaries" section as Buford Larson.?ÿ Not too long ago, Buford Hazen was correctly listed in both places.?ÿ It so happens I knew both Buford's.
