In Germany 2 male vultures who were nesting together were separated, one sent to the Czech Republic and both given female companions. Gay rights activists are protesting.

Politics & Religion

Paul, as a general rule, if you think it's "humor", it's most likely a right-wing talking point. Why not post this stuff to Politics/Religion where it belongs, eh?

I Assume Those Vultures Care Less About Politics Or Religion

But suit yourself Kent.

Personally I think it is humorous that people assign human traits to animals.

Yes - people do that all the time with their pets, treat them in many ways as human.

As for homosexuality, it has been noted in research throughout many parts of the animal kingdom.

As such, people simplistically attempting to characterize it as a human behavioral trait when in fact its a deeper biological trait is perhaps humorous as well.

All of the other vultures had their suspicions because every single time Vinny would start at THAT end of the carcass 😐

Well, Kent

Your disdain for Christianity is evident.

You did not evolve to be like that. You are in rebellion against God.

Try to have a little more open mindedness, and be a little more friendly towards God's sheep.

When there are no more righteous in the earth, then God will call "Game over", and then you will face our creator. Consider that day.

It will come for all of us.

Thanksgiving Blessings to you and yours,

Nate

Well, Kent

> Your disdain for Christianity is evident.

For an atheist who doesn't even think of God, that is not the same as having disdain for God?

God doesn't exist to an atheist, so how can he even have disdain for something that doesn't exist?

> You did not evolve to be like that. You are in rebellion against God.

According to you, we didn't evolve, period. So how does that statement make any sense from your perspective?

> Try to have a little more open mindedness, and be a little more friendly towards God's sheep.

Christians don't want to afford others open mindedness... They feel fit to impose their ideology via missionaries. They want everyone to fit in like the rest of their little sheeple.

That pretty well makes my point that this "Humor" thread belongs in Politics/Religion if you think that Paul's post was about a dog whistle religious topic. QED.

Politics & Religion

Sorry, it's your party that sees everything as political. Someone's choice of orientation is not anyone's business, certainly way down on my list of things to think about, but instead gets drug into the political arena by those dependent on it for their agenda.

Humor it is, and humor it shall remain.

Wow, that is sure detached from the reality of which political party wants to regulate all sorts of human behavior and make it a political subject.

Yes, and you can thank Paul for wanting to continually want to give all of us who have "Politics/Religion" turned off a view of that right-wing sewer. I find it rude and offensive.

Politics & Religion? Doubtful......

Just don't see it here......I'd leave it in humor if it was up to me>

I can't decide which is funnier....the separation of the birds or the protesting.

Well, once upon a time, minstrel shows and Sambo jokes were considered funny, too. Then, eventually the consensus of opinion shifted toward the idea that just having dark skin wasn't inherently funny. The sort of "humor" that both the Sambo jokes and stuff like this share issues from the same orifice.

Well, Nate

Kent is a big boy and can handle himself, but the man is no atheist. You don't seem to remeber way back where he used to discuss things that went on in his Sunday school class.

I take no side here, but even Kent gets the fact that being Christian doesn't make one republican, but being republican seems to imply Christianity.

The man is straight with GOD, he just votes differently.

Sure humor's fine

Well, as long as Paul doesn't have any problem with me telling really hilarious jokes about Catholic priests, I can't see any problem either. I mean, if it's funny, obviously it can't have anything to do with Politics or Religion, right?

My personal favorite Catholic priest joke ends with the punchline: "I'm afraid I lied, my son. I'm not your father; I'm your mother. The bishop is your father."
