My wife was his first grade teacher. I got in a fight with his dad when I was in 5th grade. I know all the family, the big boss where he works (his dad's cousin) was my best friend in my younger days and drummer in our rock band.
The down side, I was planning on running some land boundary bills in the legislature with this guy, even have talked to him about it. Heck he didn't even last through one term in the house. So I probably need to give up on those plans, won't be able to get the sponsor.

Surely he could pull a couple of strings on your behalf.
You realize he has one of the greatest jobs in the world for the pay involved. A lot like being the backup quarterback on an NFL team behind a quarterback who never misses a game.
