I'm dieing to fly a simulator.
I miss my old simulators big time!!
My favorite was the F117 Stealth fighter. It flew in real time meaning a four hour mission really took four hours if you had the patience for it.
My 2nd was the F15. Ironically the F15 simulator wouldn't let me "play" a real mission until you successfully snatched 5 carrier landings. The F15 was never meant for carrier duty at all. I snatched my first wire in about an hour. It took me near about a month before I snatched the rest. That f...er was most difficult and took the most serious concentration.
The F117 was fun as all get out but really took 2 people to fly it proper. I flew it with the joystick which had about 5 different controls on it. The #2 guy was needed for keyboard commands and there was a ton of those.
I've got an RC helicopter which is fun but my goodness it eats up batteries big time. It's a little bitty thing - enough to pester the cats.

extreme airports - I wanna go to this one....

I like that show!! 🙂

One of my favorite things to do as a kid and still to this day is to go sit at the end of runways and watch the planes take off and land. One of these days I will make it to THIS airport:

Sit on the beach...sip a tropical drink, and watch em' fly by!!! 😀

Actually Angel at that airport you can "ride the fence".
I think that one is St. Maritz
I haven't been on the stick in about 30 years. I'm jonesing for some stick time. My Dad let his license go but last time he did some stick time was in a helo. I'm dieing to do that. Me and him used to go flying all the time. He used to come get me out of the blue when I was in college. He'd just show up "let's go flying" - I'm gone. My roomates were jealous but never went flying with us. He'd drop me off 4 or 5 hours later and my buddies wanted to hear all about it. I recall one day we buzzed a buddy on his tractor out in the field. We wing-wagged him. That was Kurt. I talked to him a day or so later and said we scared the s..t out of him on our fly-over.
My roommates would ask how far we flew. About 400 miles or so. We just buzzed around here and there. I have one single pic of me at the yoke. I was about 20 or 21 but look like I'm about 14 or so.

Dave Karoly should chime on this stuff. I never landed a plane but took off a few times. Dad took care of the landings. I just rested my hands and feet on the controls to see how it worked. Dad did the work.

Yeah, that is St. Maarten. I don't think I'd do the ride the fence bit though!! Some of the Utube videos of people doing that shows them getting blown away.

I like this one!!

I have been on a plane when the engine caught fire. It was NOT FUN. I didn't fly for years after that!!! :-/

St. Maarten - you are right. It's still awesome.
I've never had troubles on a flight except that one time flying into Cheyenne WY.
We hit some serious wind sheer and we dropped several thousand feet in a heart beat. My Jack & Coke hit the ceiling. Thank goodness I was strapped in lest I'd be up on ceiling as well. It was damm sure a moment of weightlessness (sp? that dont' look right).
As Chumlee would say ---- AWESOME
