Early this afternoon I received an email, supposedly from the pastor of our little church, asking for help while she is in Spain on a family trip. Mrs. Cow found the email before I did, so she responded asking her if it was really her who needed the money. The first thing I saw when I went to check my email was a response from our pastor....or so it seemed.

It said something about thanking us for wanting to help and explained how they had been mugged and lost all their money in Madrid. They needed 500 Euros, or any part of that we could muster. They suggested we go to Western Union and wire the money to the address information provided.

International travel has really gotten faster. I was chatting with the pastor at our church only four hours before the arrival of the first email. Her plans for the day at that time did not include a quick trip to Spain.
