Colleagues-

We may be looking for a new colo(u)r plotter or a colo(u)r scanner/plotter.

Any hints in that area would be appreciated as we have a single practitioner cadastral practice budget.

Also, do you know of any drawing program that will let one hover over a figure and convert it to another with the click of the mouse ?

We are blessed by the metric system in Canada that only some use (approving engineers) but in daily practice many to most use Imperial in actual use/practice.

It would be nice to hover over an imperial number and have it change on the click, to metric and vice versa so we have an option for those "Imperially or metrically challenged".

The option to change font and colo(u)r would be also be a requirement too.

Thank you,

Cheers

Derek

We have a Canon iPF 750 that works quite well. It is only a large-format printer, though, and is not a scanner.

As for your Imperial/Metric issue, what program are you using? The answer may vary depending on that. For example, if you are using Civil 3D, there is built-in functionality to label things in Imperial, Metric, or both; you just need to setup the right Styles.
