Good morning everyone.

I currently have a tethering package for my smartphone for when I need to get the laptop on the internet when in the field. I pay about $30 a month.

I don't use it a whole lot right now, and was shopping for the kids a few days ago, and saw some information about prepaid broadband. It looks appealing, but thought I would do some research, and see what it was all about. You guys are always a wealth of information.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Verizon has a prepaid PCMCIA card. I think they might have a USB version as well.

I think they go by the day week or month.

Google Verizon Prepaid Broadband for more. I think Verizon still has the best nationwide coverage.

5± years ago I had Verizon card for a laptop with unlimited data for $80/mol. It was very reliable but at the time was limited.

I know they have changed what they offer since then and their coverage area is much better.

They offer a home based system now according to my neighbor.
