Dangerous Jobs----where do you see yourself

@chris-mills I have this conversation with people new to surveying, that they need to develop situational awareness and be present in the moment, learn to recognize and anticipate hazards. Seems at times that society has created generations of young people with their heads in the clouds or focused on their phones and not paying attention to what's going on around them. Couple of years ago we had a young helper and I'd finished giving him the talk while out doing some work off of a rather twisty road people like to drive too fast. Literally three minutes later he pulls out in front of an oncoming car sending it off the road and into a field. All I could do is shake my head and wonder if I was wasting my breath.
