Using a TI-89 Calculator
I dug up this bomb of a calculator i used to have when going to the university, to calculate matrices and such. Is there any functionality related to topography, and can you name useful ways to take advantage of ti when in the field. Id love to still use this as a companion for various tasks.
First off, can i establish a usb connection between this an a windows tablet, and export coordinates and save them in a table inside this calc?

I did some research for you just because I love calculators! You’ll need to connect your TI-89 to your Windows tablet using https://education.ti.com/en/products/computer-software/ti-connect-sw. Then, follow the instructions from http://www.technicalc.org/tiplist/en/files/pdf/tips/tip1_4.pdf. I’m an HP calculator man. I have limited TI calculator experience. It shouldn’t be too tough to write a program to take a CSV file from your survey program and save it in a table in your TI-89.

I have a TI 84 Silver and it came with a USB cable to plug it into things. I haven’t used it that way yet though. I have a HP 35s that seems better suited for survey work but even that I haven’t used a ton. I use my plain old smartphone calculator the most.
