Trimble RTX over internet (?)
I use RTX quite a bit, receiving the corrections via geosynchronous communications satellite.
But, there is another delivery medium…over the internet (i.e. cell, wifi, etc). I figured the IP address would be hard wired in to the receiver. But, when I try to configure this, it wants a GNSS connection (Settings…connections…GNSS contacts).
Is there an IP address or URL? Or does this have to be through a VRS provider (which wouldn’t make any sense…)?
Asked my dealer, they thought it might be a separate subscription. I figured that it might work better than via SV since there is more bandwidth. In the US “fast init” area the bandwidth over SV is 2400 baud, I think it might be 600 baud in other areas like South America
